1. I wanted to get back into shape after having kids.
2. I brought the 12 twelve classes because that was the best value.
3. I did a workout twice a week.
4. My workouts were 30 minutes. We worked on areas that we had talked about before my first sessions. We did abs, thighs, arms, legs, butt, cardio, etc.
5. I would take 2 days off.
6. Tod was to help me get back into shape by designing a workout to fit my needs.
7. I would say I first started to see results in about 4 to 6 weeks.
8. Physically I look better and now have skills to follow to reach my goals. I have the desire to continue to reach my goals.

Tod,
This is a letter of appreciation for taking the time out of your busy schedule to educate and work with teachers to enhance their level of fitness. Our twice a week for ten weeks seemed short lived but the benefits have far outweighed the time and money spent. Speaking for myself, toward the end of our training I could tell that my flexibility, cardiovascular and muscular strength had improved. And above all, my mood and outlook toward life changed in a positive way. At first, because I was out of shape, I viewed our training sessions as ALL WORK AND NO PLAY but as I became excited about the physical improvements I made my attitude about taking the classes changed also... I looked forward to our training sessions.

As a trainer, your were patient but persistent, friendly but professional, prompt as well as prepared for our training sessions. As you know, teachers wear many hats. Sometimes we're the mother, father, disciplinarian, teacher, and life skill instructor. With the many responsibilities we bear, it was a real stress reliever to be able to walk down to the gym after school and workout with several teachers. I went home from our workouts feeling energized and ready to face the next day... and for that I am thankful.

In addition your prices were reasonable and the teachers felt that they received their monies worth. Thanks for touching our lives and helping us to become a little healthier. We hope to see you next school year.

I started working with Tod in preparation for running the Indy Mini-Marathon for the first time; I wanted to balance my running with some strengh training. I started out with the six-session package and now purchase the twelve-session package. We meet twice a week for 30-minute sessions, alternating upper body, core, and leg workouts. I also bought three months of running coaching as the Mini approached, and Tod customized a running plan for me to help me prepare for the race.

I started seeing results after just a couple of weeks of working out with Tod. Now that I have been working out with him consistently for several months, I feel great. My muscles are toned and I can see good muscle definition in my arms and abs. My family and friends have noticed, too! The running coaching was also extremely helpful in keeping me motivated to train hard for the Mini. Both the accountability and the strategies he shared were great. I know I would never have been in such good shape on my own. With Tod's help and encouragement, I beat my time goal for the race and felt fantastic about the results.

I enjoy working out with Tod because he always challenges me to work hard. Just when I start to feel like I can do my workout with no problem, he increases the challenge, which keeps me motivated and helps me continue to see results. Even though I am sweating like crazy, I can honestly say I have fun during my workouts. Tod has always patiently and knowledgeably answered my many questions and is great to work with. I recommend his services for anyone who wants to get in great shape, be challenged, and have fun.

To Whom It May Concern,
I bought the 12 week package with Tod which came with 3 free sessions. We worked out at the gym 3 times a week and i worked out 1 or 2 days at the gym on my own too. Each session was 30 minutes long and alternated between abs, arms and legs. I had about one day off between our sessions depending on my schedule. Tod was a great motivator and taught me a lot of strength training exercises that I could do on my own after our sessions were over. At the end of our sessions, I felt I had built more muscle and felt stronger, i.e. could do more reps and more weight. I would highly recommend Tod as a personal trainer.

I have been working with Tod pretty close to the early formation of his business.? The workout program I chose is the twice a week six session package and increase as needed.? I am a early bird so early morning workouts work great for me.? I also prefer works during the winter and spring since I can't get outside as much.? increase from there.? I find that the workouts are very challenging and without them I have a hard time pushing myself to expand my workouts much past cardiology and sit-ups.? As soon as I started working with Tod I noticed improvement in my flexibility, and strength not to mention my physique.? Tod pushes me to do more but doesn't force me which is why I enjoy workout with him.? It is just something about a good workout that really works on my spiritual and overall wellness.? I am not tired in the mornings and very alert in office meetings as I watch others doze off.? I get compliments frequently on how well I maintain my body.? I will let them know that I workout frequently and I have a personal trainer.

Tod,
I have purchased the 12 X 30 min workouts of which we typically typically use about 2 per week.  Although we typically focus on one of three major body areas for every workout (Abs/ Back, Arms/ Shoulders, and Lower Body/Cardio) we will always incorporate all body parts in all work outs to some degree.  Tod, you have a great ability to always keep the work outs fresh and changing.  I don't become board with the workouts and never know what is coming. At the same time we do repeat some exercises.  It is at those times I realize how far we have come in my strength and ability.  I still remember when early on in our training we did a push up combination that included a balance ball.  Several weeks later we did the same exercise and I remember just how much easier it had become.   It think at that time i started to realize that we were making a difference.

I have always been sensitive about the size of my arms.  I don't even own any sleeveless shirts.  Bu one night as I was laying in bed partially asleep I rolled over and wondered "what is that poking me in the eye?  my pillow must be lumpy."  Now remember, I was mostly asleep, but as I went to flatten out the pillow I realized that I had rolled over on my arm and it was my new bicep that was poking me in the eye!  I really believe that by next summer I will be able to ware those new tank tops that look so cute.  I can't wait.  Thanks Tod!

I trained with you about four times a week for most of the summer, or about 25 sessions or so.  The sessions were 30mins and they concentrated on a variety of areas of the body.  One session of the week was mainly central body and abs, another was arms and upper body, another was lower body and legs, and the last one was outdoor agility, speed, and conditioning.  The role of the trainer was to motivate and guide me through a variety of workouts that targeted all parts of my body, and also teach me new things that I can do to further my abilities.  I first started to notice results after the first couple sessions because my body was sore, and I noticed a change in my quickness upon a period of rest and returning to the field.  I think this was the biggest difference I noticed, and also my conditioning level was higher and I didn't get as tired.

To Everyone Who Reads This,
Last year I decided I needed some help with my workout routine for a few reasons.  For one, I needed help with my upper body strength and building stamina for a job I was trying out for in California.  And, I also started to realize that my routine wasn't helping me tone down or shape up the way it used to when I was in college or high school.
When I met Tod, I wasn't sure what I was going to get.  I told him what my goals were and how fast I wanted to see results.  Based on these goals, he put together a training program that helped with my speed, agility, level of intensity and most importantly, my upper body strength.  We worked out together three times a week for 6 weeks for 30-45 minutes each time.  Tod didn't just make me do lunges and sit ups - every exercise I did, I did with a weighted vest. He would increase the weight every week until I wore an added weight of 15-20 lbs.  Tod also changed the routine so I wouldn't become bored or stagnant.  In as little as two weeks, I started to see results and feel better about my chances at the job I was trying out for.
Tod pushes you when you don't want to be pushed and helps you overcome the difficult exercises with positive encouragement.  With his help, I was able to change up my routine, not be bored, and get a well rounded workout according to my goals.  I highly recommend Tod to those who are looking for someone to challenge them, try new techniques or if you're wanting to spice up your workout routine.  He is a great coach, leader and trainer.  With Tod, you get what you pay for - results.
Sincerely,
Felicia M. Hernandez

Dear Tod:

Thank you so much for being my personal trainer for the past seven months.  I have never felt better.  I am stronger, quicker, and my endurance is stronger than it has been since I was in my 20s.  I am forty-five.

For the past ten years, I have been a girl's basketball coach for our youth program which consists of girls in the 3rd through 6th grades.  Sometime in March, 2007, I decided that I wanted to apply to be the Cascade Middle School 7th grade girl's basketball coach in the fall of 2007, but I was hopelessly out of shape.  I had been walking on the treadmill at Cardinal Fitness Center, but was not seeing any results.  I saw your advertisement on their bulletin board, decided I needed some help and sent you an e-mail that day.  We started working out in April, 2007.

My goal was to be selected as the 7th grade coach and be able to run and play basketball with the girls, rather than yell at them from the sideline.  I believe that a good coach leads by example.  I wanted to be able to do anything that I asked them to do.

Since I am not Ivana Trump, I chose your four week, three work-outs per week package for $276.00 and received a fifth week for free.  I worked out with you every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. at Cardinal Fitness Center.  This was perfect for me.  I could workout with you, get ready at the Center, and then be at work in Speedway by 8:30 a.m.  One day we worked on my core, the next day we worked on my arms and the third day was cardio and my legs.

In the beginning, I thought that I was going to die.  You pushed me and this was exactly what I needed.  I was so sore that my husband had to literally push me out of the car, but I persisted.  In addition to my workouts with you, I made sure that I did thirty minutes of cardio at least six days a week.  I walked/jogged on the treadmill or I walked a 2.2 mile course by my home and logged each cardio workout daily.  Within the first month, I had lost ten pounds, dropped one size and was starting to feel better.

I continued to purchase the same program through the end of November, 2007.  In addition to your workouts, I started lifting weights three days per week along with my cardio workouts.  Also, I alternated jogging on the treadmill with the elliptical machine.

It is now December 2007 and I am the 7th grade girl's basketball coach at Cascade Middle School.  I have lost over forty pounds and have dropped three sizes.  I am able to run with my girls at practice and play basketball with them as well.  Of the fourteen girls on my team, nine of them are coming to the school Monday through Thursday with me at 6:00 a.m. to lift weights and attend the speed and agility training offered by our Varsity Football Coach.  I can tell that they are getting stronger and quicker each day.  I also see their confidence level increasing as well.   The Varsity Football Coach is very impressed with these girls.

I truly believe one of the reasons my team is attending these training sessions is because they see me there working hard and giving 100%.  Because of your program Tod, and the results I have achieved, I am able to lead by example as I had first set out to do.  I am on a hiatus from your program now due to my coaching, but I fully intend to resume our sessions once basketball is over.

Thank you for helping me to become a stronger, quicker and more confident person and coach.  I would recommend your program to anyone.

Sincerely,
Darlene Rivera

I am writing this testimonial for Tod Esquivel.  I have been using Tod as a trainer starting 6/6/07.   I use his services to keep me motivated and to educate me on how and when to use the equipment and different excersises.  I have purchsed different packages, the first was for a 15 session (trial) to see if I could even do this.  After loosing 3 lbs and dropping 1.5% body fat, I was hooked.  I then purchased a package for 3 months, after completing that I realized I still needed Tod's help so I am in a 6 month package.  I see him Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.  I am still trying to get motivated and get to the gym the other days to do cardio.  Tod just gave me a workout plan for my cardio.  I have to say that I see a big change in the way my clothes fit and in the way I look,  along with how much healthier I am and feel.

Thank You Tod for taking the time to teach me how to live a healthier life

I have been a client of Gold Medal Coaching for over a year. I have participated in two packages. The first packaged included seven one on one session at the gym. The second package included me receiving my weekly exercise program via the internet. Each program I committed to working out three days a week for 30 minute sessions. As my trainer Tod customized each program to assist me in reaching my ultimate goal. Tod explains each exercise, demonstrated the appropriate way to complete the exercise and the rational for that exercise.  Each session whether is person or via the internet is different. There is a constant variety in the workout which keeps the trainee from getting bored. Within 4 months my work out was paying off. My clothes fit better and I had muscle tone for the first time in years. Because of working out on a more consistent basis I slept better, mentally I was more aware, and spiritually I became closer to God. Tod is a Christian man who is a teacher and loves what he does. He truly cares about each of his clients and will do whatever he can possibly do to help them reach their ultimate goals.

To Whom It May Concern:

Tod Esquivel has asked that I write a testimony about my experience with him as a fitness trainer. I am a 58 year old woman who has struggled all of my life with weight issues. Over the last few years I have made a concerted effort to improve my diet and overall fitness. With the help of a weight loss center I have dropped 60 pounds. I started a walking program but until starting to work with Tod I had never done any weight training. My daughter recommended Tod when I wanted to expand my physical activity to include weights.

I have now been working with Tod for over 6 months. My training goals include improved physical fitness, better balance and maintaining/losing weight. I meet with Tod for 2 half-hour sessions a week. He rotates the emphasis at each session (abdominal, lower extremities, and upper extremities) while doing core exercises at each session. Tod comes to the gym where I maintain a membership and uses their equipment as well as other equipment that he brings to sessions. Tod has gradually increased the difficulty of the exercises that I do. He is both encouraging and demanding in his style. The variety of exercises that I do in the training sessions makes every session different and challenging.

Since working with Tod I have seen a significant improvement in my physical well being. I feel stronger and have more stamina. I just feel better. I look forward to the sessions with Tod. If I can't perform a particular exercise Tod is patient and uses variations of the exercise in substitute. One of the things that prevented me from using a trainer in the past was my fear that I would look foolish while doing the exercises. Tod has a manner that puts you at ease and doesn't appear to judge. Another aspect about having Tod as a trainer is that he is always there to provide support so that you don't fall or get injured. He knows how much weight to use and when to increase it. He instructs on the proper way to use the equipment and the proper form to use.

I have been extremely please with Tod as a trainer. I would recommend him to anyone who is seeking to use weight training as part of a physical fitness program.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for changing my life.  The first session I had with you was a gift from my husband.  I think he thought that would be the end of it, but I was so excited to be working out that I begged him to let me continue working with you as my personal trainer.  So since mid-June, you and I have continued to meet 3 times a week for 30 minutes.  I think that the package with the most sessions is obviously the best deal.  I wasn't sure that I could make that kind of commitment - the time and money - but I am so glad that I did.  It is really starting to pay off.

In the past I had worked out on my own now and then, but I really had no idea what a good workout entailed.  For the first time I left the gym sweaty and exhausted yet exhilarated.  I could tell from the outset that I was going to see changes in my body.  I didn't realize much weight loss until I actually started working harder at eating right - at your suggestion.  Once I joined weight watchers combined with my exercising, I really began to see results.  But even though I didn't lose weight right away, I did see changes as a result of the exercise program.  I was definitely getting stronger and trimming inches.  My blood pressure had been high but my last two visits to the doctor showed that my blood pressure was perfect.  He attributed that to my workouts. I can climb stairs now without breathing heavy, and I am so much stronger and healthier than I have been in a very long time.

I'm doing things in my workouts that I never thought were possible, especially at my age.  I never want to go back to my old ways again.  Tod, you have pushed me at times when I didn't think I could go on, but I am so grateful to you for pushing me and never letting up.

I still have lots of work to do, but with your guidance and knowledge, I am hopeful I will reach my goal.  Thank you, thank you, thank youJ

I hadn't worked out in a gym style setting in years and I was very nervous about working out with a trainer.  I contacted Tod and decided to go with 6 sessions to begin with since I didn't really know what I was getting into.   I worked out with him 3 times a week M, W, F (30 minute sessions) at 5:30am.   One day would be upper body, the next would be lower and the third day was the most dreaded one for me...abs.   The first session really kicked my butt, I didn't realize how out of shape I was.  But after that first time it did get easier and easier, and after a few sessions decided I wanted to do the 12 sessions.   I started feeling great, had more energy, and most importantly saw results in a few weeks.   Tod was a great trainer, very motivational, always very professional, on time and pushed me constantly to reach my maximum level of fitness.  I needed to get in quick shape and Tod was just the trainer to help me reach my goal in that short period of time.  While I was working out with him 3 x a week at the gym he had me doing cardio at home on my treadmill the other 5 days to burn calories.  In the end the results were just what I was looking for!  I actually found myself getting up at 5am and eager to go to the gym...my husband that I was nuts!    I highly recommend Tod Esquivel; he definitely knows what he's doing.

Tod,
I started training with you about 11 months ago. The package I chose was 12 30 minutes sessions. We worked out for 30 minutes, with a 30 minute warm up that I did before meeting up with you, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, depending on my work schedule. You were always very flexible with my schedule, since it got crazy at times. During our sessions we focused on a few specific muscle groups for that day (abs, lower body and upper body). You used a combination of weight machines and different equipment that you brought with you to the gym. My workout was always varied everytime and never boring. You pushed me to work hard and the results were wonderful. I felt so much better after working out. It relieved my stress, gave me more energy and of course I lost inches and gained muscle. If I missed a workout, I really noticed a difference in my energy level and my overall mood for the day. I think I noticed these results within a couple of weeks working out with you. Overall, I really enjoyed training with you and looked forward to our workouts.

Sincerely
Jen Johnson

To whom it may concern:

I started working with Tod Esquivel in September of 2006 while training for my first marathon.  I wanted to improve my core strength to help me get through 26 miles.  I inquired at my local gym, Cardinal Fitness, and Tod was recommended since he is a runner and would know what I needed to help me prepare for a marathon.

I hired Tod for a three-month block prior to the marathon, but was so happy with the results that I've continued to work with Tod on a weekly basis for over a year now.  While training for the marathon I was running 4-6 days a week and working with Tod on one of those days leaving me 1-2 days of rest per week.  While not training for races, I usually run 3-4 days per week and work with Tod one of those days.

During my 30-minute session, we work on core strength, balance, toning, cardio, and overall strength training.  Tod always has new exercises and equipment to work with so the session is never the same or dull.

I first saw results around the second month of strength training.  My arms and core strength improved considerably.  I finished the marathon strong and was happy I d worked with Tod.  I get compliments on my shape and feel strong and healthy.  I look forward to my session with Tod every week.

Sincerely,

Terri D. Hacker
